Advent is a time where we can look for God, to see how God has moved in the past, how God is moving now, and we can look forward to the day where Christ will come back to do it all again, making all things new. What a wonderful time indeed. I say Advent season is this cool lead-up, but Advent often feels like it is swept under the rug. I think it is one of the most forgotten-about times of the church year, and that’s really a bummer because Advent is a season that invites us to pause and wonder about what God has been up to in the world and where God is still leading us.
