Jesus says that He is the bread of life, but this is a difficult teaching. It’s confusing, and sometimes following Jesus is just plain hard.
When many of his disciples heard it, they said, "This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?" But Jesus, being aware that his disciples were complaining about it, said to them, "Does this offend you?”
Wait a minute, this is hard. Hard doesn’t mean “not good.” It just means "hard." Some things that are hard are incredibly rewarding. Being part of God’s family – not really hard at all.
